This guided tour takes place every day at 2 pm. The visit takes you to the Danta Waterfall, one of the most popular attractions in our 350 ha nature reserve at Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails. The waterfall is surrounded by primary tropical forest and a cool mist; The thunderous sound caused by the fall of water creates a magical and relaxing atmosphere in the place.
The waterfall of the Danta waterfall, approximately 6 meters high, creates a small pool that invites you to cool off in its waters.
In addition to visiting the waterfall, the tour will take you through the tropical gardens and part of the hotel estate, concluding the tour in a small lagoon. During the tour our guide will make sure to give you the best opportunity to spot wildlife as well as answer any questions you may have.
The length of the tour is approximately 2 kilometers (1.25 miles), including a steep descent down some stairs to reach the waterfall. The duration is approximately 1.5 hours. After concluding the tour of the farm, our typical tractor will transport you on a pleasant trip back through the property’s roads. The tour has a cost of $12 per person (minimum 4 people). We recommend bringing suitable walking shoes, drinking water, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a rain jacket. We limit group size to a maximum of 15 people to ensure a personalized experience.
