Located 800 meters from the hotel reception is Villa Phil, a magnificent option for your family vacation in Costa Rica. It is recommended for guests who have their own car or who enjoy hiking. The hotel offers free shuttle service for guests without their own transportation.
This villa is named Phil in memory of our friend and Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails guest, Phillip Slosberg who built the villa and lived here with his wife Jeanie from 2008 to 2011. Read more about the history of Villa Phil here.
The Villa is surrounded by the splendor of the tropical forest and with a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano from the terrace or balcony, from where you can also enjoy nature in a relaxing environment.
Phil’s Villa has a capacity for 10 people and is recommended for families or groups, it has a large and airy living room with fireplace, smart television, dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms with two king beds each and a bedroom with a king bed, with their own comfortable bathrooms and safes.

- For security, our doors close at 11:00 pm.
- Entrance to the Hotel: from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
- Departure from the Hotel: 12:00 pm.

- The credit or debit cards used by the guest will be charged in local currency (colones at the exchange rate), payments in euros or Canadian dollars are not accepted.
